Softball Evaluations Postponed
Posted February 6, 2019Due to the continued cold weather and predictions of more snow on Friday and Saturday, softball evaluations have been postponed. As of 5pm today, the field we had reserved at North Creek is still completely covered in snow making it unusable at this time.
Evaluation updates will be sent out ASAP.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we work to secure a new location at a later date.
Our Washington District 8 Challenger Division was started in 1991 by Gary and Bev Newsome to give children with intellectual and physical disabilities a chance to play ball. Today, the program flourishes with six teams totaling almost 100 players throughout the greater Seattle area. The program is supported by the 12 Little Leagues making up Washington District 8, as well as the Seattle Mariners, who continue to create special memories for these players.
Our 2019 WA District 8 Challenger season will start with practices in mid-April. Games will run twice per week from May 1st through mid-June, culminating in an end-of-the season jamboree held at Northshore Athletic Fields (NAF) in Woodinville.
Registration for our 2019 Little League Challenger season is now open at www.llwadistrict8.org. For questions regarding this year's program, please contact Bev Newsome at (360) 805-0181 or bevnew42@outlook.com.
Please welcome the 2018-2019 NSLL Board Members!

Little League baseball runs on volunteers like you! If you are planning on coaching, umpiring, helping at practice, please perform the following steps:
1. Register with NorthshoreLL via this link as a Coach/Volunteer. We have the certified and safe Bonzi system running checks. Also, this helps provide you access to your team page and schedule.
2. Next you MUST go to your confirmation email and click on the Volunteer Application link you received via email. Fill this form out and attach a photocopy of your drivers license. Note: You don't have to put your social security number on this since you already did the background check. Turn this in to your coach or a board member (you can also email a scanned copy to nsll_safety@northshorell.com). Your coach will be notified when your form and background check are complete.
