  2002 Interleague Rules - Seniors

 

(If any new rules for 2005 are available they will be posted when received.)

  • Application for Interleague Play must be filed with the District Administrator.

  • All games have a mandatory 2 1/2 hour time limit and a mandatory 10 run mercy rule. On un-lightedfields, there will be no pitch after 5 minutes after sunset.

  • Metal Spikes are now legal for the Junior & Senior levels of play.

  • Protests submitted, as per rule 4.19, will be reviewed by a District 8 Committee.

  • Ejection of a manager, coach or player from a game

  • Suspension fromthe next game.

  • Failure to abide by the one game suspension or a second ejection will result in a two game suspension.

  • Third ejection - Dismissed from Interleague Play.

  • Report all ejections to your senior coordinator who will in return report the names and particulars to the Senior A.D.A. or if you are a registered user, you may submit them online.

  • Failure of any league to enforce this rule will result in the leagues forfeiture of participation in Interleague Play.
  • Ejection appeal process:
    • Within 24 hours after an ejection, a manager, coach or player may submit an appeal of suspension, in writing to their Senior Coordinator.

    • The league must accept the appeal or the suspension stands.

    • If the league accepts the appeal, the league Senior Coordinator or the Senior A.D.A. will obtain an umpire incident report for the ejection.

    • Upon receiving the incident report, a committee made up of two league Senior Coordinators and the District D.A. or Senior A.D.A. will hear the appeal by the manager, coach or player.
