All players wishing to be considered for All Stars at any level are required to return a completed All Star commitment form by May 7, 2008.
11/12 Year Old All Star Team
The 11/12 year old All Star Team is made up of league age 11/12 year olds. Five (5) players voted by kids first, then five (5) players voted by Majors Managers. Finally, the All Star Manager will pick the last two (2) players, for a total of 12.
Every Majors Division player will vote for three players from a list of potential candidates, league age 11 or 12. The votes will be tallied and the top five vote-getters make the All Star Team. Players can NOT vote for players from their own team.
Every Majors division manager will vote for the top ten 11/12 year olds. The votes are tabulated and the five players with the top highest scores are selected for the All Star Team.
The 11/12 All Star Team manager gets two picks to fill out the team of 12 players, i.e., to strengthen pitching/catching/fielding or even Team Leadership). The All Star Manager will also be responsible for breaking any ties that result from the balloting.
The 11/12 Year Old Team will announced on June 15th, 2008.
10/11 & 9/10 Tryouts
We will again conduct a group tryout of all 9, 10, and 11 year olds who have been selected to participate. The processes for participation and team selections are outlined below.
10/11 Year Old All Star Team
Little League made the decision to allow 10 year olds to be eligible for this team. NSLL, as a league, has elected to follow that advisement. The 10/11 year old team is made up of League Age 10/11 year olds with the TEN top scores from the 2008 All Star tryouts. The 10/11 All Star Manager will get 2 team picks to round out the NSLL Team of 12 players.
The 10/11 All Star Team is selected by the six Minors and five Majors managers scoring at the All Star tryouts, which will be held on June 15, 2008. Time and location TBD.
Once all commitment letters are received, managers will be given a list of potential All Star participants from their team. Players and managers will then determine their teams All Star tryout participants.
All 10 year olds currently playing in the Majors division are invited to attend the All Star tryouts.
Please note that no player, Minors or Majors, will automatically make an All Star Team.
The top ten vote-getters will make the team.
The 10/11 All Star Team manager will select the final two players to the team. This gives the All Star Manager an opportunity to fill needed positions (i.e., strengthen pitching/catching/fielding or even Team Leadership).
Selected players will be informed by phone the same evening of the tryouts, June 15, 2008.
9/10 Year old All Star Team
The 9/10 year old All Star Team is made up of league age 9/10 year olds with the NEXT ten highest scores at the 2008 All Star tryouts. Again, the final two picks will be made by the All Star manager, for a total of 12 players.
The 9/10 All Star Team is selected by the six Minors and five Majors managers scoring at the All Star tryouts, which will be held on June 15, 2008. Time and location TBD.

ALL STAR MANAGER SELECTION PROCESS
Anyone interested in managing an All Star Team is asked to respond to the questionnaire, found here, no later than May 5, 2008. Candidates may be asked to participate in a question/answer session with the president/executive board as part of the evaluation process. Announcement of managers will be made by May 15, 2008.
